‘Our daughter, our little princess, has been taken from us”: Louise’s parents break the silence

Louise’s Parents Speak Out: “Our Daughter, Our Little Princess, Was Taken From Us”

Louise, an 11-year-old girl, was found dead in early February in Essonne, a tragedy that has left her family devastated. Her parents, crushed by the loss of their “beloved child,” have spoken for the first time in a heartbreaking letter, expressing their grief but also their gratitude to those who have supported them.

An Unbearable Tragedy

Friday, February 7, will remain “branded into our flesh and hearts forever.” On that day, their daughter, “beautiful, sweet, and caring,” was taken from them. “She, who was nothing but tenderness and love, will never be with us again,” they write, devastated. “This gift of life will now only be a memory—beautiful, yes, but far too short, far too painful.”

A Wave of Support and Solidarity

Despite their ordeal, Louise’s parents have been deeply moved by the wave of compassion and empathy that emerged following her disappearance. “Without realizing it, you have given us the greatest tribute to her memory: that of unity and togetherness,” they emphasize, expressing their gratitude to all who have supported them.

They also extend their thanks to state services, investigators, and the municipalities of Longjumeau and Épinay-sur-Orge for their kindness and dedication. “During the search, the investigation, and the funeral preparations, we felt deep respect and genuine commitment.”

A Suspect Under Investigation

A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged with “homicide of a minor under the age of 15.” He has admitted to the crime, stating that he “panicked” when the young girl started screaming. His DNA was found on the child’s hands.

Amid their sorrow, Louise’s parents cling to her memory and try to rebuild their lives with the support of their loved ones. “She fills our thoughts with love. It is still painful, but it also brings us comfort.”

A poignant tribute to a little girl who loved life, animals, and her stuffed toys—one who will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
