From sunshine to rain: discover this week’s weather forecast

A Week Between Rain and Clear Skies: Weather Forecast from February 24 to 27, 2025

An Unstable Start to the Week

As school holidays come to an end for zone C, the weather promises to be changeable. After a mild and sunny weekend, clouds roll in on Monday, February 24, with a widespread disturbance.

  • Monday, February 24: The sun is scarce, except in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and the French Riviera. Elsewhere, gray skies dominate, with showers from Brittany to Hauts-de-France. Winds are strong (50 to 70 km/h), but temperatures remain mild: from 12°C in Paris up to 18°C near the Pyrenees.

  • Tuesday, February 25: Rain spreads across much of the country, from Hauts-de-France to the Pyrenees, including the Loire Valley. In the late afternoon, skies clear in the west, while showers persist in the east. Snow is expected above 1000 to 1500 meters in mountainous areas.

The Return of the Sun Starting Wednesday

From Wednesday, February 26, the disturbance drifts eastward, making way for clearer skies across most regions.

  • Wednesday, February 26: The sun returns, with only a few passing clouds. Scattered showers may still occur in Brittany, and strong winds (mistral and tramontane) blow around the Mediterranean. Temperatures drop slightly: 9°C in Paris, 16°C in Montpellier.

  • Thursday, February 27: Thanks to the Azores high, the weather remains pleasant, with sunshine prevailing in the south. Temperatures exceed 10°C in most areas, despite lingering clouds.

Uncertain Weather Towards the End of the Week

Friday might see the return of moisture with a new disturbance from the Atlantic. However, forecasts are still uncertain for the end of the week.

Whether you’re enjoying the last days of vacation or heading back to work, expect a mix of sun, showers, and gusty winds. Don’t forget your umbrella at the start of the week — and grab your sunglasses by Wednesday!
