Nantes: investigation into kidnapping and false imprisonment after the suspicious disappearance of 22-year-old Axel

Disturbing Disappearance in Nantes: 22-Year-Old Missing for Three Weeks

Since February 22, Axel, a 22-year-old young man, has been missing in the Nantes region. That Saturday, he left his home in Le Mans, where he lives, to visit his father, who resides on the Île de Nantes. After leaving the neighborhood, his vehicle was last seen in Bouaye, but since then, no trace of him has been found. His family, desperate, has made several appeals for witnesses, expressing growing concern due to the lack of any updates, especially after Axel’s phone stopped responding and no activity has been recorded on his bank accounts.

An Investigation for Kidnapping and Unlawful Detention Opened

In response to the situation, the Public Prosecutor of Nantes, Antoine Leroy, has opened a judicial investigation for “kidnapping” and “unlawful detention.” According to him, the investigations conducted so far suggest that Axel’s disappearance is not the result of a voluntary decision but rather an external act. While several leads are being explored, no hypothesis has yet been confirmed with certainty.

A Desperate Appeal from the Family on Social Media

To help find Axel, his family has intensified its efforts on social media, posting appeals for witnesses in hopes that someone may provide crucial information. Axel works as a welder in Sarthe, and his family, particularly his mother, is devastated by this unexplained disappearance. The investigation is continuing actively in the region and beyond, with local authorities and law enforcement involved.
