On October 28, 2024, in Saint-Étienne, a former tour technician filed a complaint for “sexual harassment” against singer Slimane. The Saint-Étienne public prosecutor’s office confirmed to H24 MEDIA on Thursday November 7 that it had opened an investigation for “sexual harassment aggravated by the use of digital or electronic means”

The Division de la Criminalité Organisée et Spécialisée de la Police Nationale dans la Loire (Organized and Specialized Crime Division of the National Police in the Loire) has been tasked with conducting the investigation, as the public prosecutor stated in a press release.

According to sources close to the case, the facts date back to December 2023, during Slimane’s “Cupidon Tour”. The first incident took place on December 17, after a concert at the Zénith in Saint-Étienne, and continued into the following night. The public prosecutor’s office, which was awaiting evidence from the complainant’s lawyer, decided to open an investigation after receiving the necessary information.

The affair is provoking reactions as the investigation continues to shed light on the accusations made against the artist.
