New burglary at Benoît Magimel’s home: three Césars and valuables stolen

When actor Benoît Magimel returned to his Paris home on the evening of Tuesday 3 September, he discovered that he had been the victim of a burglary. Located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, his home had been targeted by thieves who had acted in his absence, between 16 August and the evening of 3 September, according to initial findings.

The damage amounted to almost 80,000 euros. Among the items stolen were several luxury watches and the three prestigious César awards won by the actor during his career, major honours in French cinema. Benoît Magimel, the only winner of two consecutive Césars for Best Actor in 2022 and 2023, also won the César for Best Supporting Actor in 2016.

Investigators from the 1st district of the Paris judicial police (DPJ) are in charge of the case. Unfortunately, this is not the first time that the actor has been the victim of such mischief. In June 2023, his home was already burgled, with an estimated loss of 100,000 euros, mainly luxury watches and designer handbags. At the time, a suspect was quickly identified and arrested.
