Air France Extends Suspension of Flights to Tel Aviv and Beirut

Security measures underway

Air France recently announced an extension to the suspension of its services to Tel Aviv and Beirut, following the measures already taken by Lufthansa. The airline states that flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Tel Aviv will remain suspended until 29 October 2024 inclusive, due to security concerns in the region.

In addition, services to Beirut (Lebanon) will also be suspended until 30 November 2024, an extra month on top of the initial suspension, which was due to end on 26 October.

In a press release, Air France indicated that it was closely monitoring developments in the Middle East, saying that the resumption of its operations would be determined by an ongoing assessment of the security situation on the ground.

For customers affected by these changes, the airline undertakes to inform them individually and to offer them options for postponement or reimbursement.

Lufthansa, for its part, has extended the suspension of its flights to Tel Aviv until 10 November, including all the group’s airlines, with the exception of Eurowings, which will extend until 30 November.
