Violent altercation on the RER E: four injured, two seriously, after an axe attack at Ozoir-la-Ferrière station

At around 8 a.m. on Monday November 4, a violent brawl broke out between several passengers on the RER E at Ozoir-la-Ferrière station (Seine-et-Marne), resulting in serious injuries to four people, according to initial information gathered by France Télévisions and franceinfo. One of the victims had his hand amputated, while another suffered serious skull injuries, a police source said.

The protagonists of this confrontation, aged between 16 and 17, are said to have been involved in a dispute that degenerated into a stabbing attack. For the time being, no arrests have been made, but investigators are still focusing on the possibility of a personal conflict.

No impact on rail traffic

The incident occurred while the RER train was at a standstill, enabling the SNCF to confirm that traffic on line E and activity at the station were not affected.
