The next edition of this prestigious music ceremony, to be held in February 2025, could consecrate “Queen B” as the great triumphant thanks to her album Cowboy Carter. This project, a vibrant tribute to country music’s African-American roots, has earned her a place in several categories, including “Best Album” – a trophy that has always eluded her until now. The Recording Academy announced the nominations on Friday November 8, marking a historic moment for Beyoncé, who is also vying for the title of Best Country Album. Despite the absence of *Cowboy Carter* from the Country Music Awards nominations, the album won over audiences with tracks like Texas Hold ‘Em, a banjo-accented single that took her to the top of Billboard’s country charts – a first for a black artist.

On the French scene, metal band Gojira also shines. After their memorable performance of Mea Culpa (Ah! Ça ira!) at the opening of the Paris Olympics, they were nominated in the “Best Metal Performance” category.

The 67th Grammy Awards ceremony will be held on February 2, 2025 in Los Angeles, in a unique context, just a few days after the American presidential inauguration.
