Local Civil Defense spokesman Mahmud Bassal said that the attack, caused by an Israeli artillery salvo, also left 50 people injured. The Israeli army has announced that it is examining the details of the incident.

Another tragedy struck the Al-Shati refugee camp in northern Gaza, where five children were killed by an Israeli drone strike while playing outdoors. The bodies were taken to Al-Shifa hospital, confirming an increasingly desperate humanitarian situation. The Hamas Ministry of Health has reported tens of thousands of deaths since the beginning of the offensive.
