Four dead in Loon-Plage: Suspect surrenders to gendarmerie and confesses to fifth murder

On December 14, a tragedy struck Loon-Plage, a town near Dunkirk, where two security agents and two migrants were shot dead, according to a source close to the investigation who spoke to H24 NEWS. The events occurred around 4:00 p.m.

A man voluntarily presented himself at the Ghyvelde gendarmerie, claiming to be the perpetrator of the murders. He also confessed to another murder, that of a 29-year-old man, which took place in Wormhout, south of Dunkirk.

The 22-year-old man, who was unknown to law enforcement, was immediately arrested. During questioning, investigators discovered three weapons in his vehicle. The investigation is now being handled by the Lille Gendarmerie’s research section.
