Louise’s murder in Essonne: three new people in police custody, investigation continues with two people released

Murder of Louise: Increased Detentions, Investigation Expands

The investigation into the murder of Louise, an 11-year-old girl found dead in a forest in Essonne, continues with new developments. Louise’s lifeless body was discovered during the night from Friday, February 7 to Saturday, February 8, in the Bois des Templiers in Longjumeau, after she disappeared leaving the André-Maurois school in Épinay-sur-Orge. The circumstances of her death have shaken the local community and prompted a mobilization of law enforcement to solve this tragic crime. The discovery of the victim’s phone on the night of her murder has also brought new insights into the investigation.

New Arrests: Suspect’s Relatives Detained

Since the indictment of several suspects, the investigation has taken new steps. The main suspect, a 23-year-old man, was arrested in Épinay-sur-Orge. This man, who lives in the same neighborhood as Louise, is currently in police custody. According to sources close to the investigation, his schedule contains several inconsistencies, and he has scratches on his hands, which strengthens the suspicions against him.

At the same time, three other individuals close to the suspect have been detained for failing to report a crime. These individuals include his 48-year-old mother, his 49-year-old father, and his 23-year-old girlfriend. All were arrested during the night from February 10 to February 11, at their respective homes. The Evry prosecutor’s office confirmed this measure, stating that these individuals are suspected of knowing critical information that they did not report to authorities.

Custody Released for Two Other Suspects

Additionally, another 23-year-old man, along with his mother, who had been arrested in Rouen in connection with the investigation, had their custody lifted. These two were primarily suspected of failing to report a crime, but no additional charges have been brought against them for now.

The investigation continues under the watchful eye of the public. The towns of Épinay-sur-Orge and Longjumeau have opened memorial spaces for residents to pay tribute to Louise and express their solidarity in the wake of this tragedy. Meanwhile, investigators are pressing forward to understand what truly happened and who is responsible for this murder.

Local authorities, supported by shocked residents, hope that the investigation will soon shed light on the circumstances of Louise’s death and that justice will be served for the young victim.
