Louise’s murder: On Sunday afternoon, more than 120 police officers were mobilised in Épinay-sur-Orge to search the woods where the body of the murdered schoolgirl was found

Murder of Louise: A Large Police Operation Deployed to Search the Bois des Templiers

Over 120 Police Officers Mobilized to Find Clues in Essonne
The murder of Louise, an 11-year-old schoolgirl, deeply shocked the town of Épinay-sur-Orge (Essonne), where her lifeless body was found during the night from Friday, February 7 to Saturday, February 8, in the Bois des Templiers. To uncover the circumstances of this tragedy, a large-scale police operation was launched on Sunday afternoon. More than 120 national police officers, from neighboring departments of Essonne, Yvelines, and Seine-et-Marne, along with CRS officers and investigators from the Organized and Specialized Crime Division (DCOS), were mobilized to carry out a thorough search of the area.

The Investigation into the Murder of a Minor Continues After Release of Suspects
This operation required significant logistical resources, with police vehicles, horses, a CRS truck, and even a drone deployed to survey the difficult-to-access three-hectare forest. The goal is to collect any possible clue that might shed light on the investigation, particularly the murder weapon, which remains unfound. The terrain, which is rugged and crossed by a stream, is surrounded by several surveillance cameras.

The search follows the arrest and subsequent release of two suspects, who were taken into police custody on Saturday. While the two individuals were freed, the investigation into the murder of a minor is ongoing. No evidence has linked the suspects to any sexual violence, according to information from the Evry prosecutor’s office. The local community, where Louise’s family resides, is in shock, and a support center has been established to provide psychological assistance to residents and the victim’s relatives.
