Météo-France has issued a red alert for six départements: Ardèche due to the risk of “rain-flooding”, and Loire, Haute-Loire and Rhône due to the risk of “flooding”

Vigilance météorologique : 25 départements on alert for Thursday

This Thursday, October 17, 25 departments in the southern half of France have been placed on orange or red alert due to dangerous weather phenomena such as rain-flooding, thunderstorms and flooding.

Six departments are under red alert:
– Haute-Loire, Loire, Rhône, Ardèche, Alpes-Maritimes and Lozère are at maximum alert level.
– Ardèche and Alpes-Maritimes are particularly at risk of flooding from heavy rain.
– The Rhône, Loire, Haute-Loire and Lozère have been placed on red alert due to the risk of major flooding.

The situation remains particularly critical in areas under red alert, and local populations are advised to carefully follow the safety instructions issued by the authorities.
