The Suffering of Morgane’s Parents, 13, Missing in the Côtes-d’Armor

Intensified Search Efforts to Find Morgane, 13, Missing in the Côtes-d’Armor

Increased Mobilization of Gendarmes

Search operations continue on Saturday, November 30, to find Morgane, 13, who has been missing since Monday in Pabu, near Guingamp, as she was on her way to school. A total of 40 gendarmes are involved in the search, including twenty investigators focused on the judicial inquiry, the gendarmerie told H24 MEDIA.

Road Controls and Door-to-Door Operations

The Departmental Road Safety Squadron (EDSR) of the Côtes-d’Armor is actively participating in the search, with ten gendarmes conducting road checks on the routes around Guingamp. Meanwhile, ten other gendarmes are carrying out door-to-door operations with the residents of Pabu, a commune with over 2,700 inhabitants.

Ongoing Investigation

Morgane disappeared Monday morning at 7:30 a.m. while heading to her school, without ever boarding her school bus. So far, no specific lead has been prioritized by investigators, and the young girl remains missing. Searches have been carried out at both the family home and with relatives of the missing girl. “The family and friends have naturally been interviewed,” said Nicolas Heitz, the public prosecutor of Saint-Brieuc, who opened an investigation into the worrying disappearance.

A Family Dispute Over the Phone

Morgane, 13, left her home on foot Monday morning, saying she was going to school. The school quickly alerted her parents early in the morning upon noticing her absence from class.

A few days before her disappearance, a conflict had broken out between the young girl and her parents regarding the use of her mobile phone and her presence on social media. During this incident, Morgane’s father took her phone, broke it, and confiscated the SIM card.

A Worrying Communication

The next day, without informing her parents, the teenager told some of her friends that she would not be going to school that Monday.

Since Morgane’s disappearance, an investigation for a worrying disappearance has been opened. The gendarmes have intensified their efforts, deploying significant resources to try to locate the young girl and understand the circumstances of her disappearance.
