H24 MEDIA has learned from police sources that one person has died and five others have been injured, three of them seriously, in Thionville in Moselle, following a shooting incident at a wedding
According to reports, the incident took place at around 1am. Three hooded men armed with two assault rifles and a shotgun burst out in front of the Eden Palace, a reception hall in Thionville where a wedding of the Turkish community was taking place.
The men shot three people outside and several others in the entrance hall before fleeing in a BMW. One of the victims died, three others are in a critical condition, and two people sustained minor physical injuries, according to the same source.
At this stage, the motive for the shooting remains unknown, but an investigation has been opened and handed over to the judicial police.
