Tragedy in Orsay: Three Pedestrians Hit by a Motorist, Suspect Arrested After Fleeing the Scene

Three elderly individuals were violently struck by a motorist this Thursday, November 28, in the streets of Orsay, in Essonne. The incident, which occurred around 1:30 p.m., was confirmed by a police source to BFMTV, also citing information from Le Parisien. The driver fled the scene immediately after the accident.

A Crosswalk Turned into a Scene of Tragedy

The victims, who were crossing at a pedestrian crosswalk at the time of the collision, suffered serious injuries. Two of them, elderly, were transported to the hospital with life-threatening conditions.

Suspect Arrested in the Evening

After several hours of investigation, a suspect was apprehended later in the day. He has been placed in custody and is being charged with “involuntary injuries aggravated by a hit-and-run,” according to a judicial source.

This incident once again raises concerns about pedestrian safety and the accountability of drivers in urban areas.
