Omar Sy Involved in Altercation with SNCF Agent; Company Announces Legal Action
On Thursday, May 22, French actor Omar Sy was involved in an incident at Paris’s Gare de Lyon during a dispute with an SNCF train attendant. According to information confirmed by the railway company to BFMTV, the exchange escalated with the actor reportedly making threatening remarks toward the staff.
The altercation occurred when Omar Sy, who was about to board a train bound for Avignon to attend a Louis Vuitton fashion show, was asked by the agents to muzzle his dog before departure. The situation quickly deteriorated, leading SNCF to announce it would file a formal complaint against the actor.
Upon the TGV’s arrival at Avignon station, a police anti-crime unit (BAC) intervened, but Omar Sy was not arrested, according to a police source. Despite his widespread popularity among the French public, regularly reflected in polls, the actor now faces legal proceedings initiated by the railway company.
