Weather forecast for the first week of the school holidays: mixed weather

Thursday will be the sunniest day, with temperatures well above 30°C in the southern half of the country. Despite this, the weather remains changeable, with showers and thunderstorms forecast.

Not yet a permanent summer: This week, at the start of the holidays, is offering some summery conditions, but not all the time. Today, Monday 8 July, an active disturbance is bringing rain to the north-west, while the north and Ile-de-France are experiencing cloudy skies.

Mixed weather at the start of the week: On Tuesday, the north-west and the Atlantic coast will remain under grey skies, with a risk of showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures rise again, reaching as high as 30°C in Paris and 35°C in Auxerre, despite the risk of thunderstorms in the evening.

Wednesday shared: Localised showers and clear spells are expected on Wednesday, especially in mountainous areas, while the south will enjoy temperatures in excess of 30°C.

Thursday, the perfect day: The south will be sunny and warm, with temperatures reaching 36°C in Montélimar. The north will be cloudier but calm with mild temperatures.

Rainy weekend: A new disturbance is expected on Friday, affecting the whole country with highs above 20°C and up to 30°C in the south-east. Thunderstorms are possible in the evening, especially in the east and on the higher ground.

14-July more clement: The skies are expected to be mostly clear with sunny spells over most of the country, despite a persistent risk of showers in the north and east.

This week promises varied and sometimes capricious weather, ideal for planning your activities according to the local forecasts.
