In Taninges, Haute-Savoie, three children were found dead on Tuesday. The following day, in Switzerland, a body found in a car was identified as that of their mother, suspected of having killed them, according to the Bonneville public prosecutor’s office, contacted by H24 NEWS.
The public prosecutor said that autopsy results were not yet available. The victims are two boys, aged 2 and 11, and a 13-year-old girl, all found in a house by the father of the youngest child, at around 12.40pm. The mother, aged 45 and suffering from depression, was the subject of an intensive police search.
An investigation into voluntary manslaughter was launched, entrusted to the Bonneville research brigade with the support of teams from Chambéry. Autopsies have confirmed that the children were stabbed to death. Further forensic examinations will be carried out in Grenoble to clarify the exact circumstances of this tragedy.
