A Russian drone strike targeted a bus carrying company employees in Marganets, located in the southeastern Dnipropetrovsk region. The toll is grim: nine people killed and at least thirty injured, according to regional governor Sergiy Lysak, who warned that the number of wounded could continue to rise.

Coordinated Strikes Across Ukraine

Overnight, several Ukrainian regions were hit by a wave of Russian attacks, sparking fires and widespread damage. Regions affected include Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk, in what appears to be a coordinated military offensive.

Fragile Negotiations in London Amid Renewed Violence

These strikes come as American, Ukrainian, and European diplomats gather in London in hopes of reviving peace efforts, more than three years after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. While U.S. President Donald Trump recently expressed optimism that an agreement could be reached “within the week,” the Kremlin on Tuesday warned against rushing the process. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has declared himself “ready” for direct talks with Moscow—provided a ceasefire is established.
